SESSION RECOMMENDATIONS
WHAT TO WEAR
It is recommended that you wear bright or dark clothing. Family photos look great when everyone matches and stays within the same colour pallette. If you would like to bring a change of clothes feel free to do so, but be aware that wardrobe changes can eat into the time scheduled for your shoot. Here at the studio we love shooting in bare feet! if you don't, it is highly recommended that everyone have matching socks.When you come in for your session please listen to instructions from Jen to get the best shots possible. The session fee is your sitting fee and is non refundable unless there is a camera malfunction.
WHAT TO BRING
At the studio there are a variety of props available for your shoot — from silk flowers and stuffed animals to rocking chairs and musical instruments, but please feel free to bring in your own personal items for that special added touch. Also, be sure to bring a hairbrush to touch up stray hairs, as we do not supply one at the studio for health reasons.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN
When booking, try to schedule the session around your child's best time of day. Arriving at the studio when your child is hungry or tired can make it to very difficult to capture the expressions and images you might be hoping for. Sometimes children will look at mom and dad for approval — if you notice your child doing this, please stand or kneel in behind me so that your child will automatically be looking at the lens. As a professional photographer when shooting little ones I enter into my creative zone and quickly work to establish a relationship with the child. There are no posing rules. Children are encouraged to be themselves and capturing their natural expressions makes for some of the greatest shots.
PHOTOGRAPHING NEWBORNS
Please plan to bring your baby in before he or she is 10 days old. After this time period it is very hard to get a newborn to sleep and into the positions needed to capture those precious shots. Anyone wanting newborn photos after the 2 week period can do so but I do not guarantee that the baby will scrunch. Session fee s for newborn are 125.00 and that pays for my time to photograph your baby in 2 hours . I will edit some images from the session ie smooth out skin etc and you get your images on dvd and can print where you wish. If your baby has a lot of acne or diaper rash and would like more edited images a small fee will apply.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. Every studio session is carefully gone through and the images worth keeping are edited . This includes time spent on colour correcting, sepia and black & white conversions, edited photographs taken from your sessions will be provided on a hi-res disc for your to print. please be careful where you print, Costco in Kingston is great! If you need help on where to print your images just ask Jen .When ready, local clients can pick up their discs at the studio If you require your dvd to me mailed pllease provide your mailing address to Jen I
If for some reason payment was not made on the day of the session you will need to pay when you pick up the dvd and the dvd pick up will be around Jen's schedule.
It is also understood that Jen holds copyright to the images and a client may not edit the images or manipulate the images.

TRAVELLING FROM HIGHWAY 2
Heading west from Belleville/Kingston on Hwy. 2, just past CFB Trenton, the McDonalds/Zellers plaza subway , and Arby's You will reach a fork in the road. Stay in the right lane and head straight down Marmora Street. Turn left at the set of lights and go over the bridge. Head right at the bottom of the bridge onto Front Street which becomes Water Street. Turn right onto East Davis Street and a quick left onto Frankford Crescent. The studio is located at the first plaza on your left — 40 Frankford Crescent, Unit #15.
TRAVELLING FROM THE 401
Construction is on hwy 401 exit 525 so please take the next exit 522 ( wooler road)
take wooler road south until you reach a set of lights
at the lights turn left follow this road all the way to a three way stop
then take a right turn and your first left is frankford cresesnt
take that all around ( horeshoe shape rd ) the studio is in the last plaza on the right
From the 401 exit in Trenton at exit 525 (frankford) and turn right onto Hwy. 33 at the stop sign just off of the ramp. Follow Hwy. 33 until you reach a 3-way stop (gas station is on the corner). Turn left onto Water Street and the fourth street on your left will be East Davis Street. Turn left at East Davis and then a quick left again onto Frankford Crescent . The studio is located at the first plaza on your left — 40 Frankford Crescent, Unit #15.
